End of the year activities
Saftey Day was a huge success. The students had safety training in eleven areas! They were taught about fire, bike, animal, gun, lawnmower, atv, electrical, chemical,west nile virus, farm, and grain safety. They also played barnyard games and were each given a free bicycle helmet. Thank you everyone who helped organize activities and volunteered to enrich our students. They had a wonderful day and gained many useful safety tips. We appreciated this opportunity.
The end of the year is fast approaching. We will soon need to say goodbye to Miss Ferruchie. She sadly leaves us on May 7th. Her eagerness to reach all students and ability to motivate the children with high interest lessons will be missed. Below is a list of events that will occur in second grade at the end of the year. It is hard to believe that May is here so soon!
May 7 - Farewell to Miss Ferruchie
May 8 - Band Assembly
May 9 - 3rd grade play
May 21 and 22 - 2nd grade olympics
May 23 - 2nd grade to Carnegie Science Center
May 28 - Primary awards
May 29 - Students last day
