Welcome to room 112! The year is off to a great start and I am looking forward to getting to know each of you better. To help your child have a successful year please encourage them to share with you our daily events.

Day 5 Art (Please bring an art shirt with your name on it)
**Please bring a complete change of clothing in a bag marked with your name to keep in our room in case of emergencies.
**Spelling words are introduced on Fridays and will be tested the following Friday.
**Vocabulary words are introduced on Monday and will be tested on Friday. One of the six words will be chosen as a bonus spelling word each week. A paperback story will be sent home every Monday and needs to be returned by Friday each week.
**The reading story will be read on Tuesday's and will need to be shared at home before our test on Friday.
**A homework notebook and homework folder is sent home everyday. Please encourage your child to share these with you daily. Teaching them to organize their responsibilities early leads to success. It is also an excellent way to keep in contact with me.
**Please remember if you plan to send a healthy snack that it follows our school guidelines. Our classroom can not have any peanuts or things made in peanut oil. Please send all food items in there original package so we can be sure we are not serving these items. Thank you!
**All donations are greatly appreciated. Examples are, but not limited to: craft item, kleenex, germ-x, and stickers.

Hey Mrs.Hurst. I miss being in your class. You're the best teacher EVER. Mr.Zerbe's cool too. I won 2nd place in the third grade spelling bee. You always helped me with my spelling! Thanks for everything you've done for me! Love-Cassidy Black
